I Am

Thursday I don't seem to have all that much trouble getting to sleep so early to sleep I did get, last night, but then awakening too early before five and ended up half listening to Rising Up With Sonali, the five minute KPFA news and Democracy Now!. OK, walked to breakfast under cold clear skies without being too cold and arrived to settle in at my table and start on the papers.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee all the while listening to the person to my right spend his time on the phone for thirty minutes in a loud voice, making reading difficult. Such is life more often than you'd like at breakfast. Finished up after nine to walk home and take the usual string of pictures, the position of the sun often making it difficult to frame what flowers there were in an even light. Or was I just wobbly and wanting to blame it on the sun?

Home to take the selfie in the lobby and then settle down at the computer, doing the usual finish yesterday's entry before posting and then starting on the pictures, but taking a break to call the car insurance people and report the stolen catalytic converter. Took quite a while on the phone. The Honda rep had said that your car insurance generally covered theft, but, after checking on the web, discovered there are various kinds of policies and not all cover theft. Still, we'll know in a couple of days.

Later. Another afternoon of doing little other than watching one or two things on the tablet, check Facebook more times than I want to admit to and listening to the news people drone on and on about COVID-19 and Biden administration selections.

Evening. Nothing on television, all the PBS stations are raising money running programs I have no interest in watching. No complaints, I'm the one who doesn't subscribe to cable because I'd just be carping about what I'm not wanting to watch on them.

You're sure?

No, but I talk as if I am.

The photo up top was taken at the December 1, 2012 Children's Holiday Parade with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-120mm f 2.8 VR Nikkor lens.
