Again

Sunday The blood pressure was 140/79 last night and so I took a standard dose of the blood pressure meds, awakening just before six to listen to CounterSpin and TUC Radio before getting up, the TUC Radio program interviewing Katherine Eban, the author of Bottle of Lies, a book published in 2019 on generic drugs, eighty percent of which are manufactured outside of the U.S., most of them in China and India and most of which are defective in one way or another with pollutants you don't want to hear about as well as uneven levels of the drug itself, our own government oversight less than energetic in catching any of this. Could that be the problem I'm having with my generic blood pressure meds? The reading was 119/72 this morning, good, but I'm thinking I'm going to read that book.

Off to drive to breakfast, arriving at the usual time to turn on the lights in the dining room and settle in with the Sunday papers, ordering the Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee this time, finishing up not all that long after nine. Home to take the selfie in the lobby and settle in at the computer to go through the usual post yesterday's entry and start here routine.

Later. Watched the last three quarters of the 49'ers/Cowboys game and then bailed on the Chiefs/Saints game that followed. One game was enough.

A two hour Zoom session with the extended family in lieu of a family party, the first time in fifty years we haven't gotten together for the summer party and now for Christmas.

Evening. To bed early again not long after eight, nothing I wanted to watch on the tablet or on television and so lights out at ten again.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
