Nine

Thursday. To sleep at a decent hour to awaken then at six-ten to get up, take the blood pressure, find it behaving and go back to bed to listen to Democracy Now! before getting up again to drive to breakfast on a dark and rainy morning. Arrived to park by the 7-11 store on Mandana, cross Grand and enter the restaurant's indoor dining area to turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers. Only one other diner arrived to have breakfast toward the end of my stay. Hope they're still doing well on the take-out side and keeping their heads above water.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up by nine to walk to the car and drive home. They're saying the rain will last on and off through next Tuesday. No complaints. We need it.

Arrived to take the selfie in the lobby and take the blood pressure to find it behaving before settling down at the computer to finish yesterday's entry, post and process the morning's few pictures and starting here. Feeling better about what I have to get done before moving in the next couple of months, now maybe we'll start to prepare.

Later. Listened to the first act of Madama Butterfly with Jussi Björling and Victoria de los Angeles for the first time in decades. I've had the complete recording on vinyl now since the sixties and I guess I've been sneaking up on listening to more opera by listening to individual arias on YouTube. Nice. Another era, another world. Switched to the tablet after watching the news and taking the blood pressure again followed by the first blood pressure med dose of the day.

Evening. Checked out Vera at eight. I'd seen it before but watched it for a while before giving up and going to bed before nine. Didn't remember much more than the beginning of the episode and even then only parts of it, but I'm having trouble remembering what was happening in series recently when I come back to continue watching them. Lights out after nine.

The photo up top was taken at the 2015 San Francisco LGBT Pride Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
