Wednesday. To sleep soon enough to awaken just before six to get up, take the blood pressure to find it reasonably good and then back to bed to listen to Democracy Now! before getting up again to drive to breakfast on a dark rainy morning, arriving to park by the 7-11 store, cross the street and enter the restaurant indoor dining area to turn on the lights and settle in with the papers. No one else came to have breakfast indoors or out on the patio while I was there.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up by nine to walk back to the car noting the change in gas prices. The price of regular had gone from $4.55 to $4.59 yesterday and fallen back to $4.55 again this morning.

Which means in the scheme of things?

I have no idea.

Home to take the selfie in the lobby, take the blood pressure again (a little higher, but not high enough to take the med) and settle in at the computer to finish yesterday's entry, post the thing, process the morning pictures and arrive here by ten-thirty.

Later. More time with the tablet. A blood pressure dose at twelve-fifteen thinking I was taking it sooner than the numbers seemed to dictate, took another reading just after three thinking it would be higher, but found it back down in the low one-teens over the high sixties and scratched my head instead. My, my.

Listened to the usual news programs starting at two then, I'm afraid, back to the tablet. What else is new?

Otherwise it's been pretty much rain on and off through the afternoon. Spent more time watching the DCI Banks series on Britbox, most of it on the computer rather than the tablet, stopping it now and again to check out whatever was happening on the news. I really haven't warmed to the Banks character. Too much over the top giving in to his emotions when a clearer head was required. Still, I seem to have watched its five seasons now all the way through.

Evening. A Midsomer Murders episode I'd seen before, didn't need to see again and so to bed after eight, lights out by ten feeling fairly confident I'd be able to get to sleep fairly quickly given how it's been going these last several days.
