Sleep
Friday. To sleep not long after ten, as noted yesterday, to half awaken then at five-thirty and fully awaken at six-twenty to get up and take the blood pressure to find it a little high and so took the blood pressure med before getting back in bed to listen to the rest of Democracy Now! before getting up for good on a cold morning and walking to breakfast under clear skies, arriving to enter the restaurant's indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers. Only one other diner, inside or outside, arrived while I was there.
The single pork chop (they usually serve two), scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up after nine to set out for home. There's been a line waiting to enter the donut shop down the street now for these last few days, has the shop just opened? Anyway, on to take the last couple of pictures, arrive home, take the selfie in the lobby and head for the bathroom, the demand I hurry arriving as I was on the elevator. Again, no complaints. It used to come much sooner.
Took the blood pressure to find it fine, settled in at the computer, finished yesterday's entry, processed the morning pictures and started here.
Later. Watched the rest of A Discovery of Witches, a Prime series I'd noticed yesterday was due to be unavailable after today and so decided to finish it. Discovered at its end there was a second season, but you had to pay to watch it. I hadn't found the first season all that wonderful and so was happy enough to leave it where it left off as I didn't really care how all of the various characters worked things out.
The blood pressure has been running higher than I'd like through the day, having to keep as per the doctor the blood pressure med doses to a maximum of two, but we'll monitor it until the next Creatinine test at the end of January to see where we stand and what the cardiologist will recommend. You get old enough, the blood pressure goes up, I guess.
I put off writing this until I got home from breakfast tomorrow morning, the head not really focused enough to write and so I tend to forget exactly what happened by putting it off. They days all run together with this pandemic raging, going to breakfast in the mornings, staying inside through the afternoons, not doing much more than checking the news and watching crap on the tablet day in and day out.
Now, now.
Evening. Skipped the Hercule Poirot episode on PBS at eight as I suspect I've seen enough of them in this life, don't need to watch another. Oh, well. To bed before eight to turn the lights out as I was done with the tablet after watching the witches series, listened to the radio until nine and wondered if I'd be hearing any fireworks go off in the distance (it was, after all, New Years Eve) before getting to sleep.
