To Bed
Thursday. Lights out again not long after nine to awaken finally at ten after six to get up on another going to be clear and sunny day - hey! - and walk, bundled up against the cold (and it was cold), to breakfast. Had the plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, although I again thought, if only briefly, of ordering something from the forbidden/discouraged list. But only briefly.
The sun out as I was walking home talking a couple of the usual pictures, the air a bit warmer. Not sure what the day holds, nothing noted on the schedule. Got the call from the cardiologist's office on yesterday's Protime, the number higher than last month's reading, but still within range. Good, one would think.
Do you think?
I don't really question them. When the doctors say do this or do that, I generally just go along. You'd think, given what happened with the jaw operation that got up into the sinuses, I'd at least blink a couple of times before nodding in agreement.
Later. A walk over to the burger drive-in to pick up a grilled cheese sandwich. For some reason I've been thinking of grilled cheese sandwiches the last couple of days. No interest in the grilled chicken or turkey, but the grilled cheese. Haven't had one from them before.
Isn't cheese, particularly cheddar cheese, on your to be avoided ocular migraine list?
It is, but it hasn't led to any problems in a long time now and a sandwich doesn't contain all that much cheese. Which is a pretty cheesy excuse, I'll admit. Still it was good.
Cold out there, the weather people saying the winds are blowing in from the north rather than the west. Bright sun and cold, but with the head clear and the energy, if not the ambition, good. Let's hope we don't develop a need to bring up the cheese foolishness later.
Evening. The day has flitted right on by. Checked out and ended up listening to the first Charlie Rose interview at eight before going to bed.
