Sunday. To sleep at a decent hour to enter a period of looking up at the clock to see it had skipped an hour or so each time, but I'm still guessing turning the lights out after nine and then awakening at ten minutes to six means I got more than enough sleep. That period of glancing at the clock didn't seem all that long and drawn out in remembering them now this morning.

Raining through the night, although it had scaled way down when I got up and drove to breakfast, some light sprinkles at one or two points along the way, the restaurant dark but for the kitchen area in the back, the dining area door open. Entered, turned on the lights and settled in with the papers.

The single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, more diners not arriving until I'd finished reading the Chronicle and gotten well into the Times. Periods of rain while I was reading, but none on the way home at nine.

The Super Bowl later today and so we'll indeed watch. The Patriots and the Rams playoff games were really good, maybe this Super Bowl meeting will be the same. We'll watch the last round of the Phoenix Open and then watch the Super Bowl just like regular folks on a weekend.

Later. Watched the Phoenix Open for a while with a time out to head to the bedroom and watch an episode of a BBC series on the tablet. Not raining, the rain evidently coming later, lots of it from what they're saying. Feel pretty good, although going out for a walk, even a short walk, would be a better test of that. The Super Bowl started at three-thirty, the score tied at 3 at the end of the third quarter, the Patriots pulling it out at the very end. But then everybody knows that by now.

Evening. More tablet in bed with lights out well before ten.
