Bed

Monday. I did turn the lights out well before ten last night, but then awakened at five minutes to seven. I'm usually arriving at the restaurant at five minutes to seven. Anyway, up to skip shaving and making the bed, to head out the door and drive to breakfast on a wet and rainy morning, no thought whatsoever of a walk. Arrived by fifteen minutes after seven to settle in with the papers, only something like fifteen minutes late. Well, later than my usual time, nobody's keeping a score other than I.

The French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast because I haven't had it for a while and the rest of the menu wasn't all that appealing. Raining hard when I'd finished and so snapped a picture of just the gas station and the sidewalk on the way to the car. More of this rain today through tomorrow morning and then we're due for a few days of sun.

Evening. A day of watching the usual stuff on the tablet, half paying attention to the news and that was it for the afternoon. Stayed up to check out the episode of DCI Banks at eight to see if what PBS was calling “a new episode” appealed, discovered it was an old episode I vaguely remembered watching some time ago and so bailed for bed.
