Thursday. Lights out again by nine-thirty to awaken at six, the sleep somewhat uneven, but decent enough was the thought. Not raining and so out the door to breakfast, the teachers picketing the Lakeshore school starting to set up their table as I passed, arriving at the café before seven, but the waitresses having already arrived and so no problem sitting at the usual table with the papers. Seems all kinds of stuff's been going on out there in the wider world.
Had the single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, throwing caution to the wind, not thinking or perhaps remembering there was a teachers demonstration scheduled later at eleven-thirty in front of the Oakland City Hall.
Finished up by eight-thirty and so back by the Lakeshore school again, taking pictures, one or two of the participants saying hello as we passed. Bright sun, nice, a picture of the mural being painted on the side of the construction site building farther on, not sure what that's about, and so home. Another selfie before heading upstairs.
Later. A bus downtown just after eleven to go to the bagel shop for a turkey and Swiss bagel sandwich and coffee at one of their outside tables before walking to the City Hall at eleven-thirty to start taking pictures at the Oakland Rally For Education for half an hour or so, not long, but long enough to put together enough photographs for a web section. The sinus-upper palate along with the back of the head was aching to the point of ruining the outing and so quit early, headed straight home and took a double dose of the pain meds. Helped, they did.
Evening. Only processed two of the pictures taken earlier before giving up, the sinus-upper palate feeling better after spending too much time watching an Irish series on the tablet. Nothing on television later and so to bed after eight. Not a bad day, more just another day in the life, but one with yet to be processed photographs.
