Thinking

Tuesday. Not so bad. Awoke at ten minutes to six in time to listen to the five minute KPFA news that starts at five minutes to six and then prepare to set out for breakfast while listening to Democracy Now!. Lighter in the mornings these days, not too cold, the sky clear, looks like a sunny day ahead. Arrived at the restaurant before seven to find it open and so settled in at my table and started on the papers.

Had the French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast (we'll opt for the plain waffle next time) to finish up at a quarter to nine and set out under sunny skies. Three pictures of flowers this time. Actually four, but we didn't want to overdo it, so three flowers and a bicycle rider at the 580 Overpass, the light having gone green when I snapped the picture. On to the apartment to take a selfie before settling in to finish and post yesterday's entry. I mentioned I had stuff to do yesterday I didn't get around to. Same stuff still on the list, but with the deadlines closer.

Later. Crashed on the bed for well over an hour, finally forcing myself up around one to catch a bus to the Broadway ATM and then turn around and walk home. Decent enough walk, not really physically tired, but the head in a fog. Got home, lied down again and watched the start of a movie on the tablet, getting up as it approached four, thinking the head was clearer now as it often is in the later afternoons.

Is that true?

I'm never sure. Clearer headed in the late afternoons? Seems so, shutting down in the late mornings and early afternoons, not really wanting able to continue with such things as writing here, getting better when the sun is going down.

Evening. Read with interest one pundit's comments that Trump's grants of clemency for eleven people, many of them rich, powerful and well-connected white men, was a way to make more palatable a coming pardon for Roger Stone after he was sentenced on Thursday. Make it messy and lose the pardoning of Stone in all the ensuing muddle. Not sure why all this hit a little harder than many of his other transgressions.

To bed not long after eight again, nothing to watch on television, not much to keep my interest on the tablet, no thought to reading. No thought to read makes me think all these “head is better” in the late afternoons and evenings blather is more than wishful thinking.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2016 Chinese New Year Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
