Saturday. Pretty much right to sleep after nine-thirty last night to awaken at five-thirty, too early, but not by much. A good night, in other words. Up to walk to breakfast, some clouds in the sky, but not overly cold to arrive at just about seven to find the restaurant had just opened and so into the dining area to turn on the lights and settle in with the papers. Not a bad walk and seemingly arriving all in one piece. No complaints.
The single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up the papers by a quarter to nine and setting out in good order, taking three pictures of flowers before arriving home to take the selfie and settle in to finish yesterday's entry. The Nevada Caucuses today and so there will be something to follow with interest. And a day to prepare to head over to the DVM and renew my driver's license and take care of this Real ID business. Those are of less interest.
Later. Oddly hungry after having what I consider a large breakfast, but so it goes. Watched the World Golf Championship in Mexico on television for the first half of the afternoon. Seems to keep me amused, although it's easy enough to duck out on now and again to take care of things around the apartment, not that I did all that much of taking care of things around the apartment. Overcast and cool outside, no thought to walk anywhere, not even to get something to eat, hungry or not.
Evening. Listened to the radio and watched the beginning Nevada Caucus vote counts on the web starting at two, Sanders capturing close to half the votes recorded, putting him far ahead of the pack. As a Sanders supporter (followed by Warren), I'm happy to see this, of course, but I suspect it will put the Democratic establishment in a snit and spill out into tomorrows papers.
Time for your “may you live in interesting times” comment?
Maybe we should leave that alone for a while, not that it isn't appropriate.
