Whatever

Friday. Took somewhat longer to get to sleep last night, I seem to recall, awakening then at a quarter to six. Not too bad, a quarter to six. Got up, took the blood pressure (it's been behaving for some time now) and got ready to walk to breakfast under clear skies, the temperature cold, but manageable. Took a photograph of this sitting on the sidewalk near my apartment. Packages stolen and then discarded after opening to see what was inside? I didn't recognize the addresses on the boxes, but probably from nearby. Ah, well. Arrived at the restaurant before seven to find it open and so settled down with the papers. So far, so good, stolen packages aside.

The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up later than usual and not setting out for home until after nine under a bright sun, the weather people saying up into the low seventies later. (Not good, we need the rain.) Pictures of two somewhat better exposed flowers on the way as well as a scooter and bicycle rider at the 580 Overpass light, then home to take the selfie, the packages I'd photographed earlier when I'd passed no longer in sight. Let's hope they get back to their owners.

Need to get the monthly Protime blood thinner test today and so out the door after the noon hour. I fight the idea ahead of time, but generally enjoy the trip once I'm out the door. I have similar thoughts first thing when I awaken in the mornings, but have no trouble walking, again when I first walk through that door.

Later. A bus to Broadway at twelve-thirty to then walk on to the lab, arriving five minutes before it opened, but discovering I was the first to arrive. Not many minutes later out the door to walk to the bus stop at Webster and Grand and wait for another ten minutes for the bus home. This task is now done for another month.

Evening. Tired after I got home and so pretty much slagged off for the rest of the day and through the evening. Leads to no problems in getting to sleep, though, this kind of tired. To bed after eight, lights out and radio off again by nine-thirty. The Nevada Caucuses tomorrow. Looking forward to it. To them. Whatever.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2016 Chinese New Year Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
