Sleep

Monday. Didn't get to sleep until a good hour or two later than usual last night, but still awakened at five-thirty feeling as if I'd had a decent night's rest. At least felt the same as I have these recent mornings after the longer night's sleep. Out the door to walk to breakfast, the eyes watering, the air relatively cold, to arrive at seven to find the restaurant open and so settled in with the papers, the day ahead.

The two strips of bacon (it showed up with three), scrambled eggs, pancakes, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast to finish up by a quarter to nine and set out under sunny skies, taking more pictures than I usually do of the usual subjects. Seems to keep me amused. One last picture of a bicycle rider with his daughter (these still make me nervous) and then home to take the selfie and finish yesterday's entry before posting. Bright sun, as mentioned, they're saying a high in the mid-sixties later, still no rain this month matching over a century old record. This is not good.

Later. Last night appeared to have caught up with me as I lied down on the bed for well over an hour drifting in and out of the fog before finally getting up feeling better. Then again, maybe just another time to feel tired and it had nothing to do with last night and how much sleep I'd gotten. Nah. We'll do with the shorter night's sleep.

Started taking the written DMV practice tests on the web to prepare for the test at the DMV to renew my license. It seems worth the practice. I made some errors by not taking my time, realizing I knew the answer, but just moving too quickly, still passing, but just. We don't want to wait in a DMV line and then have to come back and wait to take it again.

Evening. Nothing on television again and so to bed early not long after eight, lights out and radio off at nine-thirty. This night I think I'll get some sleep.

The photo up top was taken at the February 2016 downtown Oakland March for Bernie 2 with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
