Defensible
Friday. OK, awoke a couple of times and then for good at ten minutes to six to get up and get ready to head out and catch the bus to the DMV office, waiting at the stop by the lake for six or seven minutes for it to arrive, feeling tired, but ready. Didn't take a camera and dressed somewhat lighter thinking I'd be inside either a bus or the DMV for most of the time and it was projected to be quite warm later when I was done.
Arrived at the DMV at ten minutes after seven to find a line, got in the line to be checked for the documents required for the Real ID and then sat for an hour and forty minutes waiting for my turn. The small laminated birth certificate I had with me was rejected because it was laminated, a certificate I'd gotten fifty-five years ago in Seattle when I was twenty-one, so no Real ID, but passed the test and got the license renewed for five years. Two hours total to get the thing done. The Real ID way wait forever before I go through this again.
Caught the bus back, getting off at the restaurant as I was hungry and not willing to go all the way home to pick up the papers I'd left at the apartment, had breakfast and walked back to the apartment. Home now tired, not sure what I'll do with myself for the rest of the day. Oh, the electric razor failed after shaving this morning and so I ordered another one.
Later. Tired and fuzzy headed since getting up this morning, the sinus-upper palate has been doing its thing as well, but it seems better this the mid-afternoon.
Otherwise not much other than lying down for a while to see if that wouldn't do something for the tired and fuzzy head, didn't seem to as it didn't really go away until early evening. Ordered an electric shaver online as mine failed just as I finished using it this morning. Decent of it to fail after the shave instead of before. Delivery is set for Monday so we'll get a little stubble over these next few days.
Evening. Went to bed not long after seven, getting up to check out this evening's episode of Morse more not to try to get to sleep too early than any real interest in Morse, but watched it for maybe twenty minutes before going back to bed and turning the lights and radio off not many minutes after nine. Early, but defensible.
