Nine

Thursday. To sleep reasonably early to awaken at ten minutes to six, deciding to go to breakfast rather than the DMV, put it off until tomorrow in order to go over the written practice tests again. A lame excuse, but that was the decision and so up to walk to breakfast on another not overly cold morning, although the eyes were watering a bit, arriving to find the restaurant open with people inside and so settled in with the papers on another day due to hit temperatures int0 the seventies.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, pancakes, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, the weight almost two pounds under the target this morning. Not that that had anything to do with ordering the pancakes for breakfast. Finished up by a quarter to nine to walk home, taking pictures of flowers in two different sidewalk planters and then of a bicyclist at the Grand Lake theater light. The bright orange flowers below the Lakeview school were no longer in evidence, but another bicycle rider waiting at the 580 Overpass light and then a line of Lime scooters by the lake, the first time I've seen any scooters positioned there in at least this last week.

Home to take a couple of selfies, the facial expressions amusingly different, before settling in at the computer to finish yesterdays entry before posting, start with this and then get into the DMV practice tests again. Lame excuse for not going today or not, we feel we need to go over some of the questions again.

Later. Went through more of the practice tests, but not enough to have delayed a day in going to the DMV, but some.

Otherwise another afternoon watching stuff on the tablet I probably wouldn't have watched if there had been anything other to do, took a bath and listened to the news. Seems the stock market is continuing to take a beating in reaction to this Coronaviris thing. Maybe best to take care of the drivers license renewal now rather than wait to find they've closed down the DMV along with the rest of the crowded places when this pandemic gets off the ground.

Interesting times?

Interesting times.

Evening. To bed not long after eight, having checked out Vera again, more for being tired than not being interested in keeping up with the story line. Lights out and radio off not long after nine.

The photo up top was taken at the February 2016 downtown Oakland March for Bernie 2 with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
