The Bus

Wednesday. Awoke at six after getting to sleep last night at a decent time. At least that's how I remember it this morning. Pretty sure. Mostly. Up and out the door to walk to breakfast on another cool, but not overly cold morning, the eyes watering a bit as they always do, arriving to find the restaurant open and people inside. Settled in with the papers on another day that will reach into the seventies again, looking like we're going to match that 1864 record of no rain whatsoever in February. Not good. If the virus doesn't get us the creeping desert will.

The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, the weight holding at the target on the scale this morning, finishing up by a quarter to nine to set out for home, take the flower pictures in their planters, three of them this time, and to catch a bicycle rider at the Grand Lake theater light. The flowers that recently popped up below the Lakeview school are opening up, so a picture and then home to take the selfie before settling in to edit yesterday's entry in an attempt to turn babble into not quite babble before posting. A decent start to a day, in other words.

Later. OK, got the Real ID package together and spent more time online taking the practice driving tests. Be interesting to see how it turns out tomorrow (or Friday if I flake out). I've taken these tests before, of course, and always passed, but I've missed some of the test questions this time around, more than I'd have liked.

Otherwise the usual afternoon: watch/listen to the news, spend time with the tablet and suddenly it's turned six. I must admit I'm thinking more than I'd like about heading over to the DMV in the morning, none of it making any sense. Why so much avoidance in doing anything out of the ordinary, going here, going there? Life is getting weirder at least in the head.

Evening. To bed after eight. Thought about setting the alarm a few minutes earlier to insure I'd be up and out the door in time to catch the bus to the DMV, but decided against it. The worst that can happen is I get up late and have to wait ten or fifteen minutes before setting out for the bus.

The photo up top was taken at the February 2016 downtown Oakland March for Bernie 2 with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
