Lights

Wednesday To sleep at a decent hour to awaken just before six to listen to the five minute KPFA news and then Democracy Now! before getting up and heading out walking to breakfast feeling pretty good for first thing in the morning. Wondered what was in the large pink canvas/cloth/whatever it's made of bag and so took a picture, arriving to enter the dining area, turn on the lights and as always settle in with the papers.

The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up just after nine to set out for home under a bright sun, the temperature comfortable while taking the usual set of pictures because that's what we do when we're walking home with a camera. Life in the fast lane.

Home to take the selfie in the lobby and then settle in here at the computer feeling reasonably feisty. Well, clear headed and not ready to lie down to take a nap. Success (in too many) other words.

Later. Well, “clear headed”. That doesn't seem to translate into writing here as it's the next morning when this is being written. Spent the afternoon on the tablet with the usual breaks to check out the news broadcasts, although with reading the papers and listening to the radio news in the mornings, I find most of it repeats what I've already learned and don't pay nearly the attention “listening” implies. Anyway, thus has gone the afternoon.

Evening. Checked out Midsomer Murders at eight, remembered I'd seen it before and, although I didn't quite remember who'd done the evil deed, did remember I hadn't liked it all that much when I'd seen it back when and so to bed not long after eight and listened to the radio off and on until ten when I turned out the lights.
