At Ten
Thursday Lights out and to sleep soon enough after ten to awaken briefly a couple of times, but awakening for good at five fifty-five to listen to the five minute long KPFA News before Democracy Now! started at six. OK, not bad, up to drive to the Lakeshore ATM under partly cloudy skies, then over the hill to the restaurant to park, enter the dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers. Mark the morning and the blood pressure on the plus side of the ledger.
The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee for no particular reason, finishing up just after nine to drive straight home, take the selfie and rush to the bathroom, but not quite fast enough. Liquid bowels do not a happy morning make. Ah, well. Settled in at the computer and started the morning routine, finishing here just after eleven.
Later. Watched the Mars landing on the N.Y. Times web site. It seems to have succeeded. I haven't really followed the three different expeditions to Mars, other than through the morning papers, but never the less exciting stuff. Be interesting to see what they find. Good for NASA.
Evening. Watched more episodes of Waking The Dead through the afternoon and into the evening, broken up by the usual news programs. Checked out Vera at eight and ended up watching the thing, an episode I'd seen before and vaguely remembered much of it when it came up on the screen, but didn't remember who'd done what until the end. No complaints, it made the evening roll right along. To bed at nine-thirty, lights out at ten.
