Nine

Friday Lights out by ten to awaken briefly at five, then awaken for good at ten minutes to six to listen to Democracy Now! (as always) before getting up and driving to the Lakeshore ATM on the way to breakfast, parking and entering the dining area to turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.

The oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee, still keeping tabs on the weight, finishing up at a quarter after nine to walk to the car, snapping the usual pictures and drive home to take the selfie in the lobby.

I'd run into the apartment house manager earlier as I was entering the garage to drive to breakfast and he'd pulled the extension cord out of the storage room for me so I could access it when I returned and so I hooked up the battery charging unit before settling down at the computer. The battery was indeed low. With the first vaccination shot coming up Wednesday I've been worrying about the car battery. Don't want to miss the shot because the car wouldn't start.

Later. More tablet, some news, more tablet, checked the car once or twice and that's been pretty much it for the afternoon.

Evening. No Inspector Morse at eight and so I couldn't start watching it, quit and bitch about it here. To bed early turning the lights out not all that long after nine.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
