February 5, 2022

Thereafter

Saturday. Lights out late last night, but right to sleep to awaken at six, take the blood pressure, get back in bed and listen to the news until seven. Up to walk to breakfast under hazy looking skies, the air index solidly in the Unhealthy For Some range now for these last number of days. Arrived to enter the restaurant's indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers.

The Eggs Benedict, country potatoes, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up just after nine to set out for my nine-thirty haircut appointment taking the first group of flower pictures and hoping she'd finish her nine o'clock appointment early. Entered the shop and find she was running early and so into the chair at nine-fifteen.

OK, shorn not that long after to walk the rest of the way home to take the selfie in the lobby, take the blood pressure (not too bad) and settle down at the computer to edit and post yesterday's entry, process the morning's pictures and start here just after noon.

Later. I guess getting a haircut was the task for the day as I spent the rest of it lying on the bed watching a series on the tablet and catching segments of the PGA tournament in between on television. Didn't start this Later section until the next morning and didn't remember much otherwise about the afternoon, other than sloth. Even managed to skip taking the usual blood pressure measurements during the afternoon, although I took the med at noon and five. Because I stayed up late last night? One might suspect.

Evening. Watched the first fifteen minutes of The Maltese Falcon at eight before heading for bed. Tired. Sleep came soon thereafter.

The photo up top was taken at the 2014 San Francisco J-Pop Festival with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
