Oh Dear
Saturday. Lights out just after ten to awaken at quarter to six. Well, closer to five-thirty, too early, except I was wide awake and so got up to see if it was indeed raining. And it was, just as the weather people had projected. OK, take my time, set off finally to drive to breakfast, the rain coming down, but not that hard. They're saying wind and unusually heavy rain on Sunday.
Had the oatmeal with a side order of toast again for breakfast, still dark and raining driving home. At least it isn't all that cold. Looks like a day we'll spend inside, this day and tomorrow.
Later. Noon. FedEx delivered a CD storage unit I'd ordered, thinking, when I'd ordered it, that it was the same model as two units I'd ordered in the past. Turns out it wasn't. Isn't. A disadvantage of online ordering for those of us who aren't as careful as one could be in front of a computer. It's designed to store DVD's, as long as they're not in slip cases, and it's just enough larger than the earlier units that it doesn't fit anywhere here you'd want to put such a thing.
You're not generating any undue sympathy with any of that.
The same thing can happen with sleeve lengths when you're ordering shirts.
Evening. An exciting afternoon watching television and now television into the evening. No rain yet, but the news programs are rather excitedly saying it's on the way. I remember living in Napa just beside the Silverado Trail thirty years ago when one of these turned the trail and part of the town into a lake. They're saying this one isn't going to be quite that bad, but who knows? If not this one tonight, then the one that's coming right behind it next week. Eek.
Slow down. I'm detecting a touch of stir crazy here.
Oh dear.
