Evenings
Tuesday. Awoke at five and half slept until ten minutes to six to then come alive at six and get ready to walk to breakfast. Yesterday the weather people had been saying there was a good chance for showers this morning, but although it was quite dark under a heavy overcast, it didn't look like rain and so didn't drive. Arrived before seven to find the restaurant open and so settled in with the papers.
The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit up and coffee for no particular reason, the weight under the one-fifty target on the scale this morning, finishing up the papers by a quarter to nine, the day still quite dark again under the overcast, but still no sign of rain. A picture of another one of the planter flowers on the way, a picture of the progress on what the sign says is a water pipe upgrade/replacement and of a dog belonging to a homeless man panhandling the cars at the 580 Overpass exit with a sign asking for funds for food for his dog. I suspect this shtick does reasonably well.
Home to take the selfie and finish and post yesterday's entry, now to take care of one or two things I've been putting off now for too long, things that I really must get done.
Later. A bus to the Broadway bank and back to take care of a birthday coming up, deciding to skip getting a shingles vaccination at the Walgreens by the City Center. Gave the pharmacy a call when I got home to see if it was available. It is so I'll go in tomorrow. Or Thursday. :-)
Evening. To bed not long after eight, lights out and radio off by nine-thirty, the usual routine. The only question being did I watch something on the tablet or make do with news programs on the radio? The BBC News starts at nine and so it's almost always news that ends the evenings.
