Here In Oakland

Art & Life

January 10, 2021

Told

Sunday To bed and lights out last night around ten to take what seemed to be quite a bit of time to finally drop off to sleep again, but awakening reasonably clear-headed at six-thirty. OK. A drive to the Lakeshore ATM and then on to breakfast, arriving around the usual time to enter the dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.

The chicken-apple sausage, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up after nine to walk to the car, snap a picture of the succulent on the restaurant's patio sidewalk fence and drive straight home to take the selfie before settling down at the computer and start with all this. The same old rut in other words.

Later. Watched some football, but spent most of the time on the tablet. I think. If I remember correctly. Not something I do so much anymore when I'm writing the morning after and clearly have nothing to say.

Truth be told.

Truth be told.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 Oakland Art & Soul Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
