Thing
Thursday If memory serves I did have some trouble dropping off to sleep until around midnight, the usual close the eyes and think about this or that, to open the eyes occasionally and notice time seemed to have slipped rapidly right on by. Awoke though at six forty-four, a minute before the time I have the alarm set and so up to go through my routine hustling a bit before driving to breakfast on dark wet streets, but not raining. Looked like it had and would be raining any minute and so no guilt about driving. Arrived to sit back in the dining area again after turning on the lights and settling in with the papers.
The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit up and coffee, the weight just under one fifty-five on the scale this morning and so figuring we'd better pay attention. Finished up just after nine, the morning still dark, but with a very light rain, taking the old flower/succulent picture for some reason and driving home with the wipers set for intermittent. Home to take the selfie and settle in here at the computer, the head reasonably clear, some thought to do something productive before the day was over. Probably in no danger of doing something so radical, so we'll end this with a chuckle and stop.
Later. Took a double dose of the blood pressure med this morning, it's been inching up and this morning it was 140/75 when it's been in the range of 120/75 for these last several weeks. Took another reading just before noon and it was 116/62, much better. We'll see what it looks like later this evening.
Evening. Watched for first forty minutes of Vera that started at eight. I'd seen it before, didn't remember a thing about who'd done the evil deep, but decided to quit, get to bed and crash. The blood pressure was 127/72, better but not great. Lights out by nine-thirty, not quite sure if I listened to the ten o'clock fix minute NPR news, but to sleep soon enough thereafter. I think. These evenings all run together after a while, another iteration of this verging on problematic memory thing.
