Clock
Wednesday Took a while to get to sleep last night to then awaken at six, just as Democracy Now! started and so listened to it until I got up at the usual time after seven to drive to breakfast. Whatever storm we had last night, the howling winds and such, was gone, the sky with scattered clouds, the temperature better, but drive I did to arrive and end up sitting in the back of the dining area again even though the patio was set up for customers. I didn't complain, it's warmer inside and so settled in with the papers.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee, throwing caution to the wind, finishing up at just after nine feeling warm and comfortable, setting out for the car with the sun peeking through and driving straight home to take the selfie and settle in here at the computer. I should do the laundry this morning, but haven't. Yet. Now to check the local papers to see what they have to say about last night's storm. No water in the streets when I was driving, maybe we didn't get the two to four inches of rain they were projecting.
Later. Some rain, but evidently the really heavy atmospheric river rain was and is happening south of the Bay Area, not that I had any thoughts of going outside either way. Did the laundry in the early afternoon. It's all done, folded and hung including the socks and so we're ready for the coming month. Otherwise spent the time on the tablet, finishing that weird Polish series I was carping about and then going through some others I've given up on in the past.
Evening. Watched an episode of Midsomer Murders I hadn't seen before. Interesting enough to keep me watching until it finished at nine-thirty when I folded the tent and went to bed. The sound of strong gusts of wind outside the bedroom window, but no rain. It's due, but evidently not yet. Lights out after the NPR six minute news at ten, we'll flip a coin to see if we get right to sleep or we're due for another two or so hours before we stop noting the time on the bedroom clock.
