Reason
Friday. To sleep soon enough to awaken then at exactly the right time just before the KPFA five minute news followed by Democracy Now! at six. Up to take the blood pressure to again find it perfect and set out at seven and drive to breakfast in order to drive to the bank on Lakeshore later after breakfast after it had opened.
Parked by the 7-11 store, entered the indoor dining area at the restaurant, turned on the lights and settled in with just the S.F. Chronicle and the Oakland East Bay Times as the New York Times had screwed up the date I wanted them to stop delivery in February for the move. I knew this was coming, the mistake in dates, but not really motivated to call them and fix the problem. No Times from now on except for online.
The chicken-apple sausage, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for no particular reason other than I haven't had it in a while to finish at the usual time just after nine, even without reading the Times. Drove to Lakeshore, found a parking slot near the bank, picked up the needed cash and returned home to take the selfie in the lobby, take the blood pressure to find it slightly lower (happily so) before settling in at the computer to finish yesterday's entry, post, process the morning's few pictures and start here at eleven.
Later. Spent most of the afternoon watching more episodes of the Australian series Murder Call on the tablet, took the blood pressure med at twelve when the reading got higher, the systolic number up in the high 120's and low 130's and half watched, half listened to the news on television while futzing around on the web.
Evening. More episodes of Murder Call until eight, switching from the bed to the living room to watch P0irot on PBS at eight. To bed again by nine, but sleep unfortunately not coming until well after eleven for some reason.
