Bucket

Thursday. A decent night's rest, to sleep by eleven to half awaken at five-thirty, fully awake by six to get up and take the blood pressure to find it just fine and get back in bed to listen to Democracy Now! until seven. Up to walk to breakfast under what appeared to be reasonably clear skies to arrive, enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, the weight closer to one-fifty on the scale this morning, lower than it's been in a while, finishing up to set out for home, take the usual set of pictures of the same old flowers under a now bright sun. A decent walk, not particularly tired, although my exercise routine is, except for this walk, pretty much nonexistent.

Home to take the selfie in the lobby, visit the bathroom (making us lighter still), take the blood pressure to find the systolic pressure had dropped ten points since this morning and settle down at the computer to finish yesterday's almost entry, post, process the morning pictures and start here by eleven.

Later. I did throw out some decorative glass and pack up coffee cups and the like, so something got done. Very little something, but something.

More time on the tablet, took the first dose of the blood pressure med at noon, the second at five-thirty, the numbers looking very good. We'll see if the evening reading holds.

Evening. The blood pressure was pretty good at eight and so a pretty good/whatever good day for blood pressure anyway. Skipped checking out Wallander on PBS at eight, I've not really liked the series when I've watched it in the past, although Kenneth Branagh has always been a favorite, and so radio and lights off not long after nine to mark another day now done and dropped in the bucket.

The photo up top was taken at the 2014 Gay Pride Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
