Of Mystery
Sunday. OK. Sunday, what is normally the last day of “rest” before the work week begins and it has been a normal Sunday, as yesterday was a seemingly normal Saturday, except for thoughts and little “ah! ha!” moments that made me realize I could just, you know, do this or do that and indeed have the time to carry them off. Finish bringing artandlife up to speed, for example, in less than four or five years; finish the design (the old, old, really old last century design) of my 100 books list. Interesting. Well, it is to me.
The Fourth of July next Wednesday. What to photograph? Fireworks? Crowds? Traffic accidents? The walls of my apartment? All or some, one or none? What does it matter, I have plenty of time to decide before flaking out on my decision. Or will this retirement thing change my habits? Plenty of mystery, here in Oakland.

The photograph was taken at the San Francisco 2007 Gay Pride Parade with a Nikon D2Xs mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 Nikkor VR lens at 1/45th second, f 2.8, ISO 100.
