Out Of Hand
Tuesday. Well, tired this morning, but otherwise maybe OK. To bed reasonably early, up fairly early, breakfast down the way, another nap mid morning, all of this with vague thoughts I have things to get done related to my retirement and I really really (for whatever reason) don't want to do them. But I will because this old fart photographer is underneath it all (well hidden from the world) tougher than he looks and can accomplish wonders, particularly when the wonders don't require much time or concentration.

Later. Well (again), the head is feeling weird, but a long walk starting late this morning that ended up in Jack London Square where I took nary a photo, but had a cafe mocha and a sandwich at the Starbucks above Barnes and Noble before walking back to hit an ATM and then take a bus on the last leg home. Overcast and cool this morning, but the sun clear and warm this late morning and afternoon arriving home with my t-shirt wet and my head still fucked up, but I'm feeling pretty good for the walk and the way the day has been going.

Have I accomplished my “things to get done” I mentioned earlier? Well, one of them, two to go, but I have the rest of this day and tomorrow to finish them off before leaving for Portland and Seattle for a couple of days. I'm liking this pace, this take a morning to ease into this, take an afternoon to ease into that and take a nap when the pace gets out of hand.

The photograph was taken in the lobby of an Oakland office building with a Nikon D2X mounted with a 17-55mm f 2.8 Nikkor lens at 1/80th second, f 2.8, ISO 100.
