Tuesday. The open window helped cool off the bedroom last night getting to sleep and then awakening at just before six to catch the KPFA five minute news and then Democracy Now! as we got ready to walk to breakfast on another overcast morning, a cool marine layer out there to prepare us for the warm day ahead. He said.
Had the plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. Don't know if I needed that toast, but the weight is holding and so what the hell, might as well. Read the papers with some interest and then set out for home, taking the usual pictures, although the “usual” flower pictures were out of focus. Looked at the specs in Lightroom and it turned out the aperture was set at f 16 instead of the f 5 I thought I'd dialed in and so we'll check the manual and see if we can't correct that. How long have I been bitching about out of focus shots? Long enough for even me to be embarrassed about it.
The sun is out now after nine. Tuesday. Must be something we can talk ourself into that will get us out for an hour. Half an hour?
Later. Another feeling tired late morning and early afternoon and so took a nap, took a bath and took my time listening to two or three hours of news on television. Well, listening to it play in the background, they do tend to repeat the same stories program to program.
Evening. An evening spent with the tablet, remembering the new Elementary episode had played last night and was available for watching. Continued on with one and another subtitled Asian series I'd recently started. I assume they use various clever analyses to see what kinds of programs you watch over time in suggesting new ones, not to mention predicting other aspects about you to sell to interested parties. What do they draw from my habits? Would I recognize the person they think they're describing?
