Finished
Wednesday. Lights out just after ten to then get what I'm remembering was an uneven night's sleep. Hard to say, but I recall seemingly being half awake through the night. Still, awake at ten minutes to six to listen to the KPFA five minute news as I began putting the day together inside my head, no worse, no better than any other. Off to breakfast on an overcast and reasonably cool without being chilly morning, taking a picture of five Lime scooters positioned by the lake. How early do they set these out? I usually see them there on the way home and sometimes not even then.
The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries with coffee again for breakfast, skipping the toast as the scale gave me a number earlier that I didn't like. Read the papers with interest, finishing up well after eight to leave the restaurant and head home under a bright sun. A really bright sun with a fair amount of haze that needed to be eliminated in Lightroom in the gas station photograph. Smoke?
More pictures than usual on the way, asking myself why I hadn't dug out the camera manual yesterday and checked the aperture settings as I threatened in yesterday's entry. The low light overcast sky meant the photograph taken of the Lime scooters walking to breakfast was fuzzy, but the bright sun on the way home covered up any errors. Lets see if we read that manual when we finish this. Wish I could say I'm certain I will.
Some end of month Amazon deliveries are due today and so we'll put off getting the car serviced until tomorrow. I need to have the exhaust checked to renew the registration needed next month.
Later. Walking home this morning one of the workers on the construction project just up from my apartment was walking along Grand, moving some wood to his truck and he said hello as I passed, had I gotten any pictures and wasn't I the guy who had been photographing the project from up above the building from my street? Nice guy, pleasant conversation, sounded as if he was the foreman on the current gutting of the existing building project, but the question caused me to think.
I'd assumed, when they erected an extension to the fence above the project that blocked shooting pictures of the operation recently, that it had to do with discouraging gawkers or such, a safety issue, certainly nothing to do with me. I'd taken pictures before they'd added the extension, but only once or twice a week and why would anyone care? Still, “aren't you the one who's been taking pictures of the project” stopped me short. Could it possibly be? Ah, well. We'll never know.
Later still. Read the camera manual and made adjustments. Crappy manual. Took a walk up the way and took a picture of the construction area just to do it after this morning's conversation with the foreman.
Evening. Watched the news, watched some stuff on the tablet, watched Midsomer Murders that started at eight, bailing well before it had finished. I was finished.
