Ten
Thursday. A bit bumpy, the sleep last night, but wide awake finally at six-fifteen to get up on another overcast morning and head out to breakfast at six forty-five, right on the mark. A line of five Lime bikes in place early again and so a picture, the walk otherwise uneventful. (Which is good.)
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, going through the papers in some detail. At least I'd say so, in some detail, as I finished up at close to nine, remembering I'd decided to get the car smog tested later before noon and so had posted yesterday's entry, for the first time in as long as I can remember, before bed last night.
I'd made changes to the camera setup yesterday after reading the appropriate sections in the manual, and the pictures seem to have been in focus. My bad, letting this go on for so long, and I still need to read further, if only to make it clearer what the settings I made really mean. I know the DSLR settings cold, but the settings for the little Nikon 1V1 are in many ways different.
Got home, downloaded the pictures I'd taken, packed the camera in the backpack and drove to the Honda dealer, dropping it off (should be done by one, they'll give me a call) and then walked back down Broadway, getting as far as a construction site I'd photographed on my last lab visit near the 27th Street construction project when a bus came along that I took to Grand. Walked to Webster and waited all of three minutes before the bus home arrived.
Later. Worked on this morning's pictures and then started today's entry when I got a call from the dealer saying the car was due for a steering rack replacement and he'd have to order parts and complete the replacement tomorrow if I wanted it done now, saying they could do it for a discounted price of two thousand dollars. Hmm. We'll talk about that the next time I come in for service, for now I'll just, you know, pick up the car at one.
OK, a bus to Broadway, a walk by the construction sites at Valdez and Webster, taking the usual few pictures on along Webster, a walk on then to the dealer's shop to pick up the car and drive home. We'll think about steering racks and such later.
Evening. Ended the evening watching an odd Thai series with amateur-like acting that extended on to well after ten. Why watch this one into well after ten?
