Friday. Lights out at ten-thirty, after watching some two or so hours of that Thai series last night, the latest I've stayed awake in some time. Ah, well. Awake at ten minutes before six feeling fine, listening to the KPFA five minute news and then to a Democracy Now! interview with Noam Chomsky on our less than pleasant dealings in South America's history of coups, dictators and interventions, all the reasons why so many of their residents have fled north. Even more depressing to contemplate when you've lived through much of what was discussed and have had occasion to meet people who'd had family members killed and so fled here in the seventies.

Overcast again, but not all that cold, arriving at the restaurant a bit early, but finding it open and so had the single pork chop, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, the scale displaying nice things when I stepped on it this morning.

A fair amount of time with the papers, not finishing until almost nine, still overcast on the walk back taking the usual pictures. I'll need to go by an ATM later, so maybe head downtown. Been a while since I've had lunch at the City Center.

I'd totally bailed in keeping up on the journal yesterday afternoon and so scrambled to finish the picture links and cobble up an ending when I got home this morning.. Running out of gas in the afternoon is now all too common.

Later. A very brief sparkly blob showed up, the other less pleasant ocular symptoms not present, but sending me into the bedroom to lie down for a while. Watched more of the Thai series on the tablet, thinking I'd get up a watch the news at two, but then it had slipped to two-thirty and I remembered I did need to go by an ATM and so headed out to catch a bus to Broadway.

Got on the bus, got off at Broadway, got the money and then turned around and caught a bus home. No real thought to take pictures at the nearby construction site, just get out the door, get the money and run.

Evening. And again, that was it for the rest of the day. Put the writing off here and finish it tomorrow morning after breakfast, spend the rest of the day listening to the news and watching more of the Thai series on the tablet, but shutting it down this time before ten. Warm this evening in the apartment and so opened the bedroom window. Took half an hour to feel an effect, but cool it did and sleep arrived soon after.
