Nine

Friday. Even with the fireworks in the distance at midnight and such, awoke at a quarter to six after a reasonably good night's rest, up to walk to breakfast on an overcast, but not overly cool morning, arriving just after the first waitress had arrived and so settled in with the papers.

The French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up by eight-thirty to walk home under still overcast skies, the usual aching sinus-upper palate business going on, but a decent enough walk for all that. A selfie in the lobby and then up to wrestle with getting the computer booted (takes some tweaking, this more more than I'd have liked).

I do need to get a Protime blood thinner test at the lab today, but I think I'll put it off until after noon after a nap.

Later. Many thoughts about skipping the blood test until Monday, but down to the bus stop to catch the bus to Valdez to take a picture of the three apartment house construction sites just because, feeling light headed and not much up for walking on to the lab, but walked on by the site at 27th and Broadway before putting the camera away, gritting my teeth and continue walking. The chest cold? Me getting old?

No one in line at the lab when I got there just after one and so had the blood drawn before heading to the building café for a yogurt parfait. They were out of coffee. Sat for a while to bring the head back together before setting out for Broadway and thinking I'd go to one of the bus stops and wait for a bus. Which I did.

The bus to Grand and the bus stop at Webster, waiting for ten minutes before a bus arrived. Home to head for the bed and lie down for an hour. We're better, the lungs seem better, but this has been a long two hours getting the blood drawn. Let's hope we don't repeat any of this tomorrow.

Evening. Checked out the Mickey Rooney film playing on PBS at eight, decided I wasn't ready to watch and so to bed right then thinking to hell with staying awake until nine.

The photo up top was taken yesterday at Jack London Square with a Nikon D500 mounted with a 24-120mm f 4.0 VR Nikkor lens.
