Thought

Monday. Lights out by nine forty-five to awaken at five forty-five and so up and out the door under clear skies and a bright rising sun. So good, I guess. Another week started, the restaurant open when I arrived, the day and the week begun.

The two strips of bacon, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up the papers early before eight-thirty. OK, the walk home, the flowers below the Lakeview school, a snapshot of a woman's nicely decorated scarf that didn't turn out as I'd hoped and then on under the 580 Overpass and by the lake, the attitude better than it's been. I'd say. I'd guess.

The selfie in the lobby before futzing with getting the computer booted properly, as it froze again this morning. Still, posted yesterday's entry and now ready to run errands. We're heading to Portland and then on to the Olympic Peninsula in Washington later this week and there are things that need to get done before leaving. Am I hesitant in sticking my nose out the door these days? Yes. And so how does a trip to Washington mess with this?

Later. A walk to the ATM on Lakeshore and then on to the card shop to pick up a birthday card before returning home. A half hour walk that pooped me out a bit, which I'm assuming is not a good sign. Pooped out after a thirty minute walk? Still the bank taken care of, the card taken care of, now to stop the newspaper and mail for the period and make a list of anything else that needs to get done.

Evening. Been a while, but watched a Norwegian episode, Varg Veum – Bitter Flowers at six. Haven't seen one in a while, but the usual plot line where Mr. Veum gets himself conked on the head after making a foolish move, but survives to solve the crime in the end.

To bed then not long after eight. Still one or two things to get done before setting out on Wednesday, so to sleep early was the thought.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco LGBT Gay Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
