Kitchen

Tuesday. To sleep by eleven to awaken at five. We'll see how that works out. Up after listening to Democracy Now!, half listening anyway, to walk to breakfast under cloud covered skies, the temperature chilly, arriving to settle in at my table indoors, another customer already there at a table behind mine.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, the weight heading down slightly on the scale this morning, finishing up by nine to set out for home under still overcast skies with a breeze that made me wish I'd worn a heavier coat or a sweater. All this news about high temperatures and fires farther east of here makes you wonder when it's so cool here on the coast. No complaints, it keeps the head clear and the energy up and running.

Home to take the selfie in the lobby and then settle down at the computer to finish yesterday's non-entry, post and then start on the morning pictures. It's now approaching noon, the sky clear, the Weather Underground site saying it's sixty-five degrees out there in my neighborhood and the sun is shining.

Later. An hour's nap just after noon. Felt better for that. A high today of sixty-nine they're saying on the web, haven't (of course) been outside to see if that makes sense. Not tired after the nap and so watched a couple of things on the tablet I'd given up on some time back, learned why I'd given up on them some time back and gave up on them again.

Evening. Defrosted the refrigerator starting in the late afternoon, for some reason, and this took quite a bit of time as ice had built up in the freezer compartment way beyond where any sensible person would have allowed. Took three hours, but it's done. To bed with the refrigerator now happily humming in the kitchen.

The photo up top was taken at the 2016 San Francisco Anime & Cosplay Festival with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
