Minimal Complaints

Thursday. Another decent night's sleep. Feel pretty good, none of yesterday's flying along on a cloud, but the head is clear and the attitude better. We'll leave it at that. We need to leave it at that more often.

You do go on and on.

Nothing much happening around here to write about otherwise. Awake half an hour before the alarm, up to head out the door (with all three papers in tow) to breakfast. Another clear sky with the sun coming up and it feels more like a late spring soon to be summer should here in the Bay Area. In my humble opinion.

Later. Not so bad. No nap, but a bath and then a bus downtown to take pictures at Latham Square, running into the Oakland Civil Engineer who'd first suggested I take the series of pictures. I'd brought a disk with the photographs I'd taken to date that I was on my way to dropping off at his office and happened to meet him as he was leaving his building. Kismet. Well, coincidence.

On then to have a mixed fruit cup and coffee at the usual table outside the bagel shop in the City Center, the noon day crowd building and so I sat and watched them for the while. No pictures, although I was tempted a couple of times, one in particular. Must get more aggressive if I'm to call myself a street photographer (who takes pictures of people rather than banged up streets and earth moving equipment).

A walk by the pharmacy to pick up a prescription refill and then a bus to the apartment house construction site to take today's photographs. At least the sun is out, none of these muddy shadowy photographs I've been turning out lately.

We're drifting again.

Feel good, though. Drifting is better than fuzzy headed.

Evening. A good day. Some time on the tablet going back and forth between this and that. Does everyone do this? I get to a scene I'm not liking in one I'm watching and so go over to another movie altogether and start where I'd left off the last time with it in a different scene for a different but similar reason. Is this common?

The various PBS stations are raising money again, so no television tonight and to bed early. For the best, I'm sure, so only minimal complaints.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2015 Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D4s mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
