Next One

Thursday. I did get in quite a bit of work on the parade photographs yesterday, but the day sort of piddled out with lights out again just before ten, awakening at six to get up and head out to breakfast, the sky clear with a light cool breeze. OK. The day has started.

Later. Needed to go by an ATM and to pick up a prescription refill on Lakeshore and so a walk to the Lakeshore ATM, setting out by the lake to take pictures of whatever they up to. Dry mouth and the vision off kilter, pieces of one scene showing up in the next when I moved my eyes. The diced ham and scrambled eggs for breakfast?

All that aside, not a great walk, sitting down three times on the way home, one of them spent getting two scoops of ice cream at the Dreyer's shop because I was hungry, yes, but also because these symptoms were getting worse more than they were getting better.

Back finally by the lake to take two more pictures. They'd poured more cement since I'd started out and were smoothing and trimming up another section similar in size to the sections they'd laid in these last several days.

Got home and lied down on the bed. Better, the vision had cleared up after eating the ice cream, but the sinus-upper palate and the odd dry mouth thing were still doing their thing. The “dry” mouth had by now passed, but being outside on the sidewalk while one of these things is happening is creepy. Not much more of it would move us into scary.

One in the afternoon. Best to get back into the parade pictures.

Evening. Finished the photographs, finished putting together the four sections in time to check out Midsomer Murders and Charlie Rose at eight. Managed to live without either.

Seems the Warriors won the first championship game today in the finals. For some reason I'd been thinking they weren't playing until the weekend. Well, missed all the stress of listening to them going back and forth during the game, although they seem to have taken charge in this one and won without too much drama. OK, we'll be smarter and dial into the next one.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco Carnaval Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
