Don't

Sunday. Lights out at ten to awaken at ten minutes before six on a sunny morning, taking my time getting up to drive to breakfast, but still arriving ten minutes early to luck out as the waitress opening the café arrived two or three minutes after.

Had the French toast with sliced bananas and strawberries with coffee for breakfast over the papers, the hijinks of Mr. Trump over this weekend making for sobering reading. I do retain my interest in Korea and so hope whatever happens with Trump and Kim doesn't turn out badly for the Koreans. All the Koreans.

Back to the car just before nine to drive home and wrestle with yesterday's entry. I really should keep these short as I don't seem to have the clarity and energy to work with them after about eleven in the mornings. Broken picture links and awkward word construction errors you'd normally catch with little effort seem to predominate.

But what the hell, there's the Temescal Street Fair coming up starting at noon and getting there is easy, just catch my downtown bus heading in the other direction. Drops me off right at the top of the barricaded streets, no real effort required.

Later. The bus to Telegraph and 51st to spend close to an hour walking up and down the fair to find pictures and finding one or two before crapping out to have a pastry and a small coffee at a Noah's bagel shop just off Telegraph out front at one of their shaded tables to kill the fifteen minute wait before the return bus arrived. Home to watch the last half hour of the golf tournament and let the head clear.

Later still. Tired and so lied down to watch more of the DCI Banks series on the tablet before getting up to watch the two Elementary episodes that come on at five. The muscles aren't tired, at least I don't think they are, but the head and body just seem to shut down after an hour or so's outing. Said the same thing after last Saturday's outing I seem to recall.

Are we going to go into another ‘I gotta get in more exercise’ routine?

I promised not.

Evening. I bailed on the last half of the second Elementary episode. I'd seen it before and wanted to lie down with this tired business. Plonked along with the tablet until almost ten before turning out the lights. I said the tiredness had gone away, but it always ‘goes away’ lying down where it doesn't when I'm just sitting. You live, you learn. Until you don't.

Last Saturday at the Oakland Sex Workers Protest taken with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
