Tablet

Friday. A decent night's sleep was the thought, awakening just after six to get up and walk to breakfast on a sunny morning, the weather people saying it was going to get up close to eighty today and even higher tomorrow.

The restaurant open when I arrived and for some reason ordered a large corned beef hash, eggs over easy, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee breakfast, large to the point I wasn't able to finish it. Getting up as it was approaching nine I had a brief dizzy spell. Light headed. Not sure what that was about.

Walked home taking the usual pictures as well as one of another Bird scooter (just one on the sidewalk, this time, walking home a little later than usual) where yesterday there'd been three, and of but two Lime scooters, where yesterday there'd been ten. OK. Perhaps our excitement for the day, although I felt dizzy again when I got home.

Pushed to finish yesterday's entry (I hadn't written much the day before, but crapped out early as I was tired) and then lied down on the bed feeling dizzy again. Got up and took the blood pressure: eighty-seven over fifty-nine, low enough to be feeling, well, dizzy. This now definitely has my attention. What's causing it?

Decided against taking the car to the cardiologist's appointment and so took a bus and then another bus to first the café in the lab building, as I was early for the appointment in the building across the street, where I had coffee to eat up time before on to the cardiologist's office where they too took the blood pressure: ninety over sixty. OK.

Long story short went by the lab after the appointment to have blood drawn to see if there was any internal bleeding, made a follow up appointment for next week in case this dizzy thing continued and then caught the bus and then the Grand bus home. I'd brought the camera, but didn't have the energy to take it out of the backpack.

Stopped by the 7-11 look-alike for a pint of strawberry ice cream and a bag of chipotle peanuts. Large breakfast or not I was hungry. For ice cream anyway. Home now to finish this and then lie down, maybe watch one or two things on the tablet before taking the blood pressure again. Hope to hell it's not internal bleeding. I had enough of that when I was in my forties. Don't need to repeat any of it again.

Later. The blood pressure came back up to normal after noon and stayed that way through the rest of the day. Which is a good. Was the blood pressure med I took this morning a double dose? I'm very careful about getting the dosage right, no chance it wasn't the half tablet I usually take after getting up. There are other reasons I'm sure the dose was correct and so we'll have to look elsewhere for the cause, and then it will only be a guess.

Spent the rest of the afternoon watching a series on the tablet, listened to some of the usual news programs and that's been that. We'll see how it goes tomorrow.

Evening. Blood pressure still normal through the evening. Didn't do squat other than to watch more of the Scott and Bailey BBC series on the tablet.
