Evening
Saturday. Awoke at ten minutes to six after a pretty good night's sleep. Up twice to take a leak, but otherwise dead to the world when the head hit the pillow to set out at the usual time on a first time in a while sunny morning, they're saying up into the high seventies later today. A little warmer than I'd like, but life tends to be like that in not asking my opinion, but no complaints. Don't want to offend the Fates.
Arrived before the staff, but the dining area door was open and so inside to turn on the lights and settle in with the papers, ordering the two strips of bacon, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast. Warm enough, I'd set out in a light long sleeved shirt and a light jacket, although I could have just warn a t-shirt and jacket. We'll do that tomorrow when we drive.
Finished up by eight forty-five and set out under a bright sun, more people on the sidewalks today and so on by the lake and home to take the selfie and get ready to wrestle with the computer (it doesn't like to load my various photo and other programs without freezing more often than it should), finish yesterday's entry and post, all done with downloading and processing pictures and writing this by half past ten. About the norm.
And so your duties for the day are done?
I have a walk and maybe more pictures to take that we'll have to wrestle with before too long. Be interesting to see, if we get in another decent walk, if we then crash and burn as we did yesterday and the day before. Be very nice to find a way to avoid crash and burn.
Later. A walk to the lake to see what was up, the thought being to head on to the farmers market and maybe pick something up relatively healthy for a change. Quite a few people about, as you'd expect on a sunny Saturday during the noon hour, although not as many as I've seen in the past. A small group of people setting up drums and an amp and speakers as if something were planned for later.
A walk on to the farmers market passing by the young drummer, who's more often than not set up there on Saturdays, playing along with a recorded track powered by a gasoline generator, his donation basket full and so some pictures. Thought about getting a waffle square with whipped cream, but the vendor had raised his prices and I wasn't enthusiastic enough to foot the additional bill.
Back along the lake and on to the burger drive-in for a grilled chicken sandwich to take home for lunch and check out the golf tournament on television. Nice day, maybe go over and see if the people setting up the amps, drums and such had started performing. Not tired, at least, after the walk.
Later still. A second walk to the lake to find the drummers drumming, but the amp and speakers gone, so they were probably breaking them down rather than setting them up when I was there earlier. Still, some pictures, not much of a walk, but a walk, none the less and no tiredness, no fuzzy head. Nice day all around.
Evening. The foreign series seems to have reappeared on television. Nothing I wanted to watch and so took to bed and the tablet to watch a movie on Netflix. Not at all a bad day, not at all a bad evening.
