Lights

Thursday. To sleep at about the right time, but awakened at five and then five-thirty for good to get up finally at the usual time to drive to the Lakeshore ATM and then on to the restaurant, parking by the 7-11 store to cross Grand and enter just as they were starting to move the tables and chairs out onto the patio, settling in at my table and starting on the papers. An appointment later at nine forty-five to have blood drawn for the Protime blood thinner test and so watching the clock in order to leave not many minutes after nine.

The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee again (and again), finishing up by nine and walking to the car to drive to the lab on Pill Hill at Hawthorne and Webster hoping to find an open parking space. Bright sun, a decent drive through a fair amount of traffic, finding a parking spot on Broadway near the lab at nine-twenty.

Entered the lab then early, but had to wait only five minutes to have the blood drawn, get back to the car and arrive at home by nine forty-five to take the selfie in the lobby and settle in here at the computer. Worked out well.

Later. Went to the apartment manager to buy two rolls of quarters, thinking I'd do the laundry tomorrow when I got back from the haircut and surprised myself by starting the laundry right there and then.

Actually ended up finishing the laundry, hanging and folding it right after it had finished and then folded up the socks. I generally put off folding the socks. Surprised myself again. Less tired than usual? More clear headed or less clear headed? Otherwise spent the day on the tablet, watching one movie almost all the way through before realizing, in the last scene, I'd seen it before, none of its earlier hour familiar. Again, wondered if this was unusual at this stage. Might actually ask someone who knows about these things one day.

Evening. The three PBS stations I receive all seem to be raising money and so nothing I wanted to watch on television and so ended up going to bed at nine and turning out the lights.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Temescal Street Fair with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
