Eleven

Friday. To sleep soon after ten to awaken briefly at just before five, blink, and it was six. So good, I guess. Listened to Democracy Now! as usual, an interview with Julian Assange's father and brother was of interest, up to walk to breakfast under clear skies and a bright sun to arrive at the usual time to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.

The oatmeal, toast, fruit cup and coffee because that's what appealed, the weight doing just fine on the scale these last few mornings, finishing up in a bit of a conundrum. I was watching the clock as I was eating in order to set out later than usual so I could arrive down the way for my haircut appointment at nine-thirty, but was realizing that maybe I'd have to take care of things in the restaurant bathroom in case things became unpleasant while sitting in the chair. I visited the restaurant bathroom. Best I did.

OK, took pictures along the way, reached the barbershop ten minutes early, got the haircut (not sure I liked the shape all that much) and continued on home taking the rest of the flower pictures plus one of a car that had broken down across from the Grand Lake theater. Took the selfie in the lobby before settling in at the computer to finish yesterday's screed, post the thing, process the morning pictures and then start on this and now it's after one.

Later. Not much of an afternoon left when you finish up the journal at one in the afternoon. Two hours of news programs starting at two, although spent the time half listening while futzing around the web on the computer. Took another pictures of the white feathered pigeon just to fill in some time, tried for a nap without much success and didn't have the energy or desire to write this until tomorrow morning when the head is clearer. Such is life after breakfast.

Evening. The PBS stations are still raising money and running programs I have no interest in and so to bed not long after eight to watch this and that on the tablet, finishing by ten, but then having difficulty getting to sleep until some minutes after eleven.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 Temescal Street Fair with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
