That

Monday. To sleep reasonably soon after ten. I think. Awoke at five, blinked and it was close to six and so listened to Democracy Now! and its interview with Daniel Ellsberg, adding to the list of lies the government made to get us into and then keep us in the Vietnam war that's made many of us so angry for so long. OK, up to walk to breakfast under overcast skies, the weather people saying into the mid seventies later. Arrived to enter the indoor dining area, turn on the lights and settle in at my table with the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, still holding steady on the scale this morning, finishing up at nine to set out for home under still overcast skies. People still wearing masks on the street, not all, but most of them this time I, of course, taking the usual pictures.

On along Grand to take the usual two muddy looking sidewalk pictures as well as the selfie in the lobby before settling in at the computer to finish, post yesterday's entry and start on the morning pictures. A little tired and so bailed early while writing this, not touching it again until late in the afternoon. Not sure what that says about how the day is ultimately going to play.

Later. Another day without wearing a sweater, the next four days projected to be the hottest we've seen so far.

Didn't do anything different today, I'm afraid. Did take a couple of pictures of the white feathered pigeon that's settled down on my under construction balcony and that's been about the afternoon's excitement, other than the usual time on the tablet watching two marginal series because there was nothing else that appealed.

Appealed as in doing some cleaning around the apartment for instance? Stuff like that?

Indeed.

Evening. Nothing on television again and so to bed not long after eight. Another day without needing a sweater or the goose down jacket to keep warm. No complaint with that.

The photo up top was taken at the 2013 Carnaval Street Festival with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
