Eleven

Friday. To sleep well after ten (I think) to awaken at just before six to get up, check the blood pressure (106/56 - very close to yesterday morning's reading), listen to Democracy Now! and then drive to breakfast under another bright sun, the weather people saying into the eighties again. Parked by the 7-11, entered the restaurant, turned on the dining room lights and settled in with the papers. No excuse to drive instead of walk, of course, don't even try to invent one these days.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, finishing up just after nine to walk back to the car and drive straight home feeling pretty good. Just wore the t-shirt under the light weight summer jacket this time, the temperature fine driving home, maybe a little too cool if I'd walked.

Took the selfie in the lobby, took the blood pressure again (106/60), settled down at the computer and entered yesterday's Later section before posting, processing the pictures and then starting here.

Later. Up into the eighties and so settled down on the bed and finished the Katla series I'd started yesterday. A couple of odd twists on a somewhat more common story line making it interesting, particularly in how everything was resolved. I gave it a thumbs up for being slightly more weird than many another. Otherwise the usual news programs and bingo!, the afternoon was done without having a single thought to go outside.

Evening. Talked with the sister, got to bed not long after eight, lights out at the usual time, but then not getting to sleep until close to eleven.

The photo up top was taken at the 2013 Carnaval Street Festival with a Nikon D4 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
