Tablet

Monday. To sleep before eleven? Something like that and so awakened for good just before six to half listen to Democracy Now!, maybe less than half listen for the first segment, to get up finally at the usual time to walk to breakfast under overcast skies, the temperature cool, but more than bearable. Arrived to settle in at my table and start on the papers.

The plain waffle with sliced bananas and strawberries, fruit cup and coffee, the weight even lower on the scale this morning, finishing up after nine to set out for home again under overcast skies taking the usual string of pictures. People still wearing masks on the street, maybe slightly more than half of the ones I passed.

Home to take the selfie in the lobby before settling in at the computer and go through the usual routine, getting to this point here well after noon.

Later. Returning from breakfast I thought I noticed there'd been some activity at the apartment house/condominium construction site and so walked up in the early afternoon and took some pictures, first of the wood fence they'd built replacing the old canvas covered fence and then the usual three to show whatever progress they may have made. Not sure that there has been much since I last looked last month, but I'll go up again tomorrow and get a better set of pictures.

Otherwise watched a movie on the tablet and little else. Decent movie, though.

Evening. An earthquake jolt just before seven. Felt it (they're saying a magnitude 3.9 thirteen miles south of here in Castro Valley’s Fairmont Terrace neighborhood), just a sharp movement that lasted a second. OK. Reminds me I'm really not looking forward to being here during the big one.

Nothing on television I wanted to watch and so to the tablet.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco LGBTQ Pride Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
