Passed

Wednesday. Awoke at a quarter after six, which is good, which is the target, and checked the weather. No rain and not looking like rain in the near term so the prediction of rain this morning was wrong, although it could start before I'd finished breakfast. And I was feeling tired and, and, so drove to breakfast to arrive before seven, the restaurant open and people inside.

The two strips of bacon, eggs over medium, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing by eight-thirty, the sky still dark, but so far no rain. Drove home to discover signs of a sprinkle on the windshield as I entered the garage and so there'd indeed been no need to drive. So what? Felt better for driving.

I think you're embarrassed to admit you flaked out.

Could have gone either way.

Later. A hard rain shower just after ten, stopped, the sun coming out in the early afternoon. Still, used it as an excuse to put off getting the monthly Protime blood thinner test until Friday when the weather people say it's supposed to clear. More procrastination, more feeling tired.

Watched the last four episodes of Delhi Crime after I'd finished posting this morning, again, based on a real case that made the press here as well as India. An interesting and oddly compelling look into how another culture handles the usual issues in a police procedural, a glimpse, albeit a skewed glimpse, into another country and culture.

Evening. Watched the French Mary Higgins Clark Mysteries – Remember Me that started at six and kept my interest to the end. Wasn't clear to me who was doing what to whom until all was revealed. Also watched the Dutch Baantjer Mysteries – The Murder of the Murderer that followed, more because I found it odd that the Dutch evidently have a 19 year statue of limitations on murder. Other countries have legal systems that seem to function quite well with shorter prison times for various offenses than ours, but a statue of limitations on murder?

And the episode itself?

The people who'd known the person who'd been murdered became upset with the perpetrator when they found out he'd done it. Best to continue to keep the knowledge of such deeds to yourself, even after nineteen years have passed.

The photo up top was taken at the 2017 San Francisco Saint Patrick's Day Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
