Out

Saturday. To sleep soon enough, although an uneven night's rest, awakening however at five minutes after six and so got what I'm guessing ended up as a decent sleep. Feel wide awake, anyway, at least at the moment.

Up to check to see if it was raining and found the streets dry, but decided to drive anyway as the weather people have been forecasting rain showers starting last night and throughout the day. Best I did, as the first shower, a pretty good downpour, started as I left the apartment, arriving before seven to find the restaurant dark, but for the light back in the kitchen. OK, entered through the dining area door to turn on the lights and settle in with the papers.

The avocado and mushroom omelet, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee for breakfast, finishing up somewhat later this time just before nine. The price of regular had dropped another ten cents a gallon at the station across from the restaurant, but it was raining hard and so put off crossing the street to take a picture of the price sign for the link above and so headed for the car and drove straight home, taking the selfie in the lobby as always before settling in at the computer. A wet weekend ahead.

Later. The Players championship was being televised, the Players tournament that I'd read had been canceled due to the coronavirus after Thursday's first round had been played. Turned out they were broadcasting last year's tournament when I searched it out on the web. Although I watched last year's Players, I didn't recall who'd won and so watched it today with interest. Well, interest enough to watch. Checked after to see who had indeed won. Probably won't slow me down in watching the final round tomorrow.

Evening. Subscribed to Britbox and watched an episode of Vera on the tablet using the ear plug audio speakers that for the first time allowed me to get around the accents that make it hard for me to understand what's being said when it plays on the television set. Happy with that.

Lights out by nine, as there's nothing playing on the radio to keep me up on Saturday nights, but it took some time to get to sleep. At least I seemed to look at the clock more often than in the past as it clicked along to ten and then eleven before I finally conked out.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2018 Chinese New Year Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
