Thing

Monday. Set the alarm this time thinking best to keep the old schedule no matter how long this Shelter In Place might last. Had trouble similar to yesterday's problem of not dropping off right to sleep until late, glancing at the clock and seeing it tick off the hours til midnight. I must have been getting some sleep as the hours passed quickly, but worried it might throw the schedule off.

Awoke at twenty minutes to six, pretty close to the target and feeling wide awake. So much for worrying over how much sleep we may have gotten and so up to make the bed and such before settling in on the bed to read the papers. Did I want to drive to the morning restaurant again and pick up breakfast?

Drove to the breakfast café at eight to park and find people waiting outside the veterinarians’ clinic for it to open. There were two people ordering breakfast inside at my restaurant. Ordered the avocado and mushroom (no cheese) omelet, country potatoes, toast and coffee to take home in the car. Not many people on the sidewalks, most in their morning exercise routine and not many cars.

Arrived home, skipped the selfie again with the hands full and settled down to eat before futzing with this. Found two or three obvious errors, mis-labeled pictures and the like, one of them from way back in 2018. The brain, you understand, even when I think it's clear, it easily proves me wrong. Still, no complaints, the day and now another week ahead.

Later. Watched stuff on the tablet. What else? And then more tablet. Watched some of the governor's press conference, but that's been about it. Skipped the PBS News Hour, skipped the BBC News. I've more than learned you can hear too much about this virus thing.

The photo up top was taken at the San Francisco 2017 Chinese New Year Parade with a Nikon D5 mounted with a 70-200mm f 2.8 VR II Nikkor lens.
