Acting Up
Thursday. I did get to sleep pretty much right away last night, awakening then just after six to listen to Democracy Now! before getting up and ultimately ending up walking to breakfast. It had rained last night, as the street were wet, but it didn't look as if it were going to rain again any time soon and so opted to head out the door and find out. Arrived to find the patio tables hadn't been set out and it was cold and so what the hell, we'll sit inside. Worked out well, I was alone in the dining room throughout.
The two strips of bacon, scrambled eggs, country potatoes, toast, fruit cup and coffee again, finishing up after nine to set out for home under the same overcast, but not looking like rain, skies, taking pictures as I felt like it. Again, the walk home seeming to just rush on by when compared to the walk to the café. No complaints (and no rain).
Home to take the selfie and settle in at the computer to finish yesterday's entry, process the morning pictures and start on this, finishing around eleven-thirty. Another cookie cutter morning this first day of the third week since I had the first COVID shot.
And you mention that because?
Whenever you have a tickle in the throat or something similar it reminds you of the strain on mind and body this damned pandemic has caused.
Later. Started raining in the early afternoon, they're saying the chances of it raining in the morning is around twenty-five percent. Then again, they said the chances were seventy-five percent it would be raining early this morning and they were wrong so we'll take it in, but with a bit of salt.
More time on the tablet, still following the second season of Intelligence on Netflix, seems to be keeping my interest. The short scenes shifting quickly between the various character's interactions are interesting. Not sure I've seen anything quite like it.
Evening. The left side of the nose sinus area that has ached to some degree since that operation where they got up into the sinuses with a scalpel has been aching more lately, particularly in bed with both the left and right side of the face feeling pressure resting on a pillow. This evening it's much worse and so took a double dose of the pain meds to see if that would allow me to at least get to sleep before it wore off. Don't remember it ever being quite this bad.
To bed not long after eight after watching the first five minutes or so of Vera. Had more trouble than usual in making out their accents. Lights out by ten, let's see how the night goes with these left side of the nose sinuses acting up.
